Lead Data Scientist
Moncler is seeking a passionate Lead Data Scientist to join the Data Platform & AI Team at our HQ in Milan.
Overview
For our Worldwide Information & Technology Transformation function, we are looking for a candidate to lead the technical strategy for GenAI initiatives, driving tangible business impact while ensuring quality, security, and compliance.
Your Impact
The Lead Data Scientist will lead the technical strategy for GenAI initiatives, driving tangible business impact while ensuring quality, security, and compliance.
In Particular, The Resource Will Be Responsible For
Define technical strategy for GenAI projects: LLM models, fine-tuning, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
Design and develop AI agents (single and multi-agent) on enterprise frameworks (Azure AI Agent Service, Google Agent Builder), orchestrating communication and coordination among agents.
Industrialize AI/ML pipelines: MLOps, CI/CD, development and production environments, drift monitoring and retraining.
Collaborate with Data Engineering for data integration (Microsoft Fabric, GCP Big Query) and ensure performance and security.
Governance and risk management: controls on hallucinations, privacy (GDPR), compliance, and explainability.
Mentor the Data Science team and support AI culture dissemination.
Qualifications
STEM degree; 10+ years of experience in Data Science/AI.
Strong experience with LLMs, GenAI frameworks, agent orchestration.
Proficiency in Python, AI libraries (Transformers, Lang Chain), and orchestration tools (Airflow, Cloud Composer).
Knowledge of MLOps (CI/CD, containerization, model monitoring) and hybrid data architectures (on-prem + cloud).
Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, GCP (Big Query, Vertex AI) and integration with CRM/CDP.
Able to communicate effectively with both business and IT stakeholders.
Proactive and collaborative, with a strong ability to lead, mentor, and influence across teams.
