Position Overview
As a Solution Architect within Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will help shape and deliver on a strategy to build mind share and broad use of Amazon's services within strategic accounts across Italy. Your responsibilities include owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects, developing deep expertise in AWS technologies, and shaping the adoption of AWS services such as Bedrock, Q, Sage Maker, DynamoDB, S3, EC2, and SQS.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with the sales team to design solutions for customers, drive AWS adoption and revenue.
Educate customers of all sizes on the value proposition of AWS.
Establish credibility & build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers.
Participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure customer success when building new and migrating existing applications to the AWS platform.
Conduct deep‑dive hands‑on education/training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers.
Author or contribute to AWS customer‑facing publications such as whitepapers and tutorials.
Present sessions at AWS and industry conferences.
Act as technical liaison between customers, service engineering & support teams.
Help ensure customer success in building applications and services on the AWS platform.
Scope each customer engagement with clear objectives and success criteria.
Own each engagement and ensure a timely and successful delivery of value.
Capture and share best‑practice knowledge within the AWS SA community.

Basic Qualifications

Extensive design/implementation/consulting/devOps experience with distributed applications.
Extensive experience in infrastructure or software architecture, with knowledge in associated technology areas such as databases and networking.
Experience in pre‑sales engineering or solutions architecture for technology/software sales.
Ability to travel, including internationally.
Fluency in Italian and English is essential; knowledge of other European languages is advantageous.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.

Preferred Qualifications

Technical degree in Computer Science or Maths.
Working knowledge of software development practices and technologies.

Experience with AI/ML technologies.
AWS Certification(s), e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Associate.
Experience in a customer‑facing role with software/technology.

Experience with on‑premise to cloud migrations or IT transformations.
Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS.
Strong presentation skills, comfortable speaking with executives, IT management, and developers.

Benefits & Compensation
Italy – €75,200 gross annually. Additional statutory benefits and company supplementary benefits may apply. The position is classified at level 6 or above depending on skills and experience. Salary may be higher and include sign‑on payment and potential restricted stock unit scheme.
