The Production Technician is responsible for assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining products or components on the production line according to established procedures and quality standards. This role ensures that production targets are met efficiently, safely, and with high attention to quality.
Key Responsibilities Assemble mechanical, electrical, or electronic components according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Testing and Inspection:
Perform functional tests, visual inspections, and quality checks to verify that products meet specifications and standards.
Equipment Operation:
Operate test equipment safely and efficiently; ensure proper setup, calibration, and maintenance of tools.
Troubleshooting:
Identify and report defects, malfunctions, or process deviations; assist in diagnosing and correcting production issues.
Documentation:
Accurately complete production records, test reports, and logs to maintain traceability and ensure compliance.
Process Improvement:
Suggest and implement improvements to production methods, tools, and workflow to increase efficiency and product quality.
Safety and Compliance:
Follow all workplace safety policies and procedures, maintain a clean and organized workstation, and comply with environmental and health regulations.
Qualifications and Experience Education High school diploma or technical certification required.
Experience 1–3 years of experience in a production, assembly, or manufacturing environment.
Hands‑on experience with hand tools, test equipment.
Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, or electronic systems (depending on product type).
Skills and Competencies Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
Good problem‑solving and diagnostic skills.
Team‑oriented with effective communication skills.
Basic computer literacy (for data entry, production reports, or ERP systems).
