Role Overview
As the market key point of contact for all New Product Development (NPD), your role will involve owning NPD initiatives that will help drive the Swisse brand growth journey in Italy. The role will report to the MKT Director in Italy with dotted line to the Senior PMO & Innovation Manager.
Key Responsibilities
NPD
With Marketing Director Italy and EU teams recommend and own the 12-36 months innovation strategy & innovation roadmap for Swisse Italy building on the regional & global innovation strategy.
All NPDs to local market through concept adaptation, naming, local materials working with Reg / Legal team for the local artwork creation.
Assess the potential and feasibility of each project by identifying market opportunities, product development feasibility, financial risks/opportunities and market capabilities working alongside the Swisse Brand Managers and EU teams.
Analyse and understand the competitive landscape across all product categories creating innovative concepts driving consumer trends and filling market and portfolio gaps.
Build local strategy and business case to drive regional marketing management alignment within internal stage gate process, including scaling opportunities and specific local needs.
Collaborate with all relevant regional and international departments (Science, Regulatory, PD, Supply Chain, Packaging, Artwork, Project Management) to align local and global innovation projects with the aim to influence global pipeline and deliver locally relevant innovation for Italy.
Manage and develop Pricing, COG and margin analysis and presentations on all new product launches.
Lead end-to-end innovation projects from concept to launch preparing and presenting the business plan to key stakeholders.
Marketing
Serve as a credible expert and spokesperson for the company across social media, TV, conferences and other public forums, representing the brand with authority and professionalism.
Participate to relevant trade / consumer fairs to discover new trends & ingredients and be always up to date about food supplement market evolution (EXAMPLE : VITA Foods Barcelona).
Support trade and sales team in the development of consumer and trade marketing toolkits be it educational tools, advertising material, POS material, online content, presentations related to innovations where needed.
Develop product sell-in materials & presentations related to innovations.
Drive understanding of category dynamics, consumer behavior, including the design of internal concept testing or with external Market research companies.
Organize and lead education training for internal employees, for customers (retailers) and for final consumer, giving the audience a proper knowledge about Swisse science behind our products and providing relevant angles to build compelling selling stories.

Qualification, Experience & Skills
Degree in Business Administration, or relevant academic qualification.
Scientific / marketing background (both backgrounds will be taken into consideration).
