POSITION: SENIOR QA/QC ELECTRICAL EXPEDITOR – SOUTH KOREA
1. YOUR ROLE
You will join an international EPC project in the industrial sector, supporting Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities for the Electrical discipline from the project site in South Korea.
You will be responsible for monitoring and supervising the manufacturing activities of electrical equipment, ensuring compliance with project specifications, contractual requirements, quality standards, and delivery schedules.
You will act as a key interface between the project team, suppliers, subcontractors, and international stakeholders, ensuring effective management of inspections, quality documentation, and supplier progress monitoring.
The role requires strong technical expertise in electrical systems, quality control processes, and vendor management within complex industrial projects.
The position involves an international assignment in South Korea for the duration of the project.
Fluent knowledge of both English and Italian is mandatory, as the role requires daily interaction with Italian and international project teams.
2. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor supplier progress and ensure compliance with project milestones and delivery schedules.
Perform technical expediting activities for electrical equipment and project materials.
Supervise QA/QC activities during manufacturing, assembly, testing, and inspection phases.
Verify compliance of supplied equipment with technical specifications, datasheets, drawings, and contractual requirements.
Review and monitor Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), Quality Control Plans (QCP), and inspection procedures.
Coordinate inspections at supplier facilities with vendors, clients, and third-party inspectors.
Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and review related documentation.
Manage and follow up on Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), Technical Queries (TQ), and corrective actions.
Review quality documentation packages, including test reports, certificates, inspection records, and Manufacturing Record Books (MRB).
Verify technical documentation and ensure proper closure of quality dossiers.
Prepare regular progress and quality reports highlighting critical issues and improvement actions.
Support the project team in resolving technical and quality-related issues with suppliers.
3. REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical background.
Previous experience as QA/QC Engineer, Electrical Inspector, Vendor Inspector, or Expeditor within EPC projects.
Proven experience in the supervision of electrical equipment manufacturing activities.
Strong knowledge of electrical equipment such as LV/MV switch gear, transformers, motors, MCCs, electrical distribution systems, and related components.
Experience in quality documentation management and inspection processes.
Knowledge of international electrical standards (IEC, IEEE, NEMA or equivalent).
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, technical specifications, and datasheets.
Experience in supplier coordination and vendor management.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Availability to relocate to South Korea for the duration of the project.
Fluent knowledge of English and Italian (mandatory).
Nice to have:
Previous experience on EPC projects in Oil & Gas, Energy, Power Generation, Petrochemical, or Industrial Plants.
Previous international experience with Asian suppliers or manufacturing facilities.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
Experience with FAT/SAT activities.
Familiarity with project documentation management systems.
Previous experience working in multicultural and international project environments.
