Location: Via Milano
Post-doc position on the Economic Geography of Desertification At Bocconi GREEN (Centre for Geography, Resources, Environment, Energy and Networks), we offer a post-doc position focused on the spatial economic and environmental impacts of desertification.
The successful candidate will be involved in a 2-year research program exploring the following:
Research Focus:
Climate change, soil vulnerability, biodiversity loss, and increasing anthropogenic pressure threaten the ecosystems of Mediterranean countries. The project aims to examine desertification and its interactions with socio-economic systems, specifically investigating how soil erosion and desertification vulnerability are influenced by both exogenous factors (such as sea level rise due to global warming) and endogenous, local factors. The research will also analyze how these factors affect the productivity of agricultural and manufacturing sectors.
