Position: R&D Connectivity Software Engineer (POS Scanners) (11338)

Experteer Overview In this role you will develop and maintain safety‑protocols software libraries that enable Datalogic industrial devices to support functional safety features. You will integrate and enable adoption of libraries for new devices, supporting certification, and evolving libraries with fixes and revisions. You will design, develop, and run PLC validation and pre‑certification tests to ensure library reliability in industrial environments.

You will work within a quality‑driven, growth‑oriented team, researching new technologies to keep our products competitive.

Qualifications

Master's Degree in Computer, Electronic or Automation Engineering More than three years of hands‑on embedded software engineering experience

Strong object‑oriented design and programming in C, C++, and Python

Experience with multi‑threaded programming

Experience with Linux or RTOS based embedded software

Knowledge of Software‑QA principles and best practices

Knowledge of TCP/IP and analysis tools like Wireshark Hands‑on PLC programming experience with Co De Sys  (Ladder, Structured Text, or similar) is highly preferred
