Accounting Specialist

A growing manufacturing company in Itasca is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Specialist to support day‑to‑day accounting operations. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth business operations, with responsibility across accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, payroll support, and general ledger activities. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

$65,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing
• Maintain the general ledger and record daily financial transactions
• Perform account and bank reconciliations; research and resolve discrepancies
• Record expenses, sales revenue, vendor invoices, and customer payments
• Process payments to vendors, utilities, suppliers, and service providers
• Prepare and issue customer invoices for goods and services
• Monitor outstanding debits and credits to ensure proper posting
• Prepare financial reports and schedules as requested by management

• 2–4+ years of accounting experience; manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of AP/AR, reconciliations, and general accounting principles
• Experience with accounting software such as Quick Books, Sage, or similar ERP systems
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a deadline-driven environment
