Billing Clerk - Service Billing

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Clerk - Service Billing to support high-volume invoice processing for a busy team in Itasca, Illinois. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who is comfortable managing a shared billing workflow, reviewing service-related charges, and coordinating invoice submission with finance. The role requires strong organizational skills, accuracy, and confidence working in D365 within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee a shared billing mailbox and organize a high daily volume of incoming invoices for timely review and action.

- Examine billing documents tied to service visits, project work, and utility-related charges to ensure they are complete and ready for processing.

- Prepare invoice records accurately and route finalized documentation to the finance team for the next stage of payment handling.

- Maintain orderly billing workflows by prioritizing submissions, tracking status, and following up on outstanding items as needed.

- Use D365 to enter, review, and manage billing information with a high level of accuracy.

- Support day-to-day coordination between billing and finance by helping keep documentation aligned with internal accounting procedures. Requirements - Prior experience in billing, invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or a related accounting support role.

- Ability to manage a large volume of incoming invoice activity while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

- Hands-on experience with computerized billing systems; familiarity with D365 is strongly preferred.

- Working knowledge of accounting functions and financial documentation processes.

- Strong organizational and time-management skills in a structured weekday work environment.

- Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal departments.
