Work across individual and business tax engagements rather than being siloed into one niche Job Details Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individual and business clients Support preparation of Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, and 1120S Gather and organize client financial and tax documentation Review tax documents for accuracy and completeness before filing Conduct basic tax research and help resolve routine tax issues Communicate directly with clients to collect missing information Assist senior tax professionals on planning and compliance projects Maintain organized, accurate client files and work papers Respond to client inquiries promptly and professionally Stay current on relevant tax law and filing requirement changes Support the broader accounting team through and beyond tax season

Qualifications:

CPA or EA Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred 2+ year of public accounting or tax preparation experience preferred Experience preparing individual tax returns required or strongly preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and common accounting software Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines Preferred:
Exposure to business returns such as 1065, 1120, or 1120S Background in individual, partnership, S corp, or corporate tax preparation
