OverviewThe Global Customer Accounts Manager I manages AIT's company's relationships with consumers and other businesses. This role is in charge of making sure that AIT is strategically positioned to engage new clients.
Responsibilities- Rresponsible for developing, leading, and managing key account(s). Responsible for the outcome of assigned projects including KPI reporting, customer service, routing, problem resolution (including accounts receivable), vendor compliance and customer interaction.
- Developing solutions that best address customer needs, coordinating with other departments and employees as needed, and working constantly with clients to ensure their needs are being met.
- Adhere to all government and regulatory compliance standards with regards to AES, customs clearance, ITAR, screening of denied parties and dangerous goods regulations.
- Analyze account data and provide predictions to management. To include assistance of creation of M and Q data to meet or exceed global sales and client expectations.
- Review account budgets, pricing, quoting, and improving cost effectiveness.
- Assisting global sales staff and offices with customer relations, resolution of issues, and assist with client solutions that drive additional business from assigned client(s).
- Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as business demands deem necessary.
- The wage range for this position is $72,300.00-$ and may vary based on geography as well as relative knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience.
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Required
Experience Qualifications
- 7+ years relevant experience in freight forwarding operations, account management or sales experience in supply chain industry preferred. With 2-3 years in direct customer facing roll (sales / account management) Preferred and
- 5+ years Cargo Wise, AS400, dangerous goods and ITAR experience is a plus. Preferred
Skills and Abilities
- Working understanding of air and ocean, imports and exports needed (extensive work experience in one or more required). (High proficiency)
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and other MS Office software. (High proficiency)
- Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail (High proficiency)
- Must be self-motivated and able to work within a virtual team across multiple time zones and global geographies. (High proficiency)
- Able to facilitate global conference calls (possibly at after hours) to include customer or operations teams across the globe. (High proficiency)
- Ability to problem solve and be solution oriented in a fast pace and high volume environment. (High proficiency)
- Excellent negotiation, communication, organizational and planning skills. (High proficiency)
- Possess strong analytical abilities, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to think strategically and analytically about business and product challenges. (High proficiency)

Licenses and Certifications
- ITAR, Dangerous Goods, Cargowise Certifications are desired but not required Upon Hire Preferred
