Inside Sales Representative - Aftermarket

Salary Range: $50,000-$75,000

Power Solutions International (PSI) is a leading manufacturer of emissions‑certified powertrains specializing in customized and fully integrated turnkey solutions for global equipment manufacturers in the industrial, transportation, and energy markets. Our facilities are housed in one million square feet of engineering, assembly, operations, and distribution space across seven locations, positioned to meet high production volumes with added capacity for growth.

The Inside Sales Support Representative is responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with existing customer accounts and corresponding Outside Sales Reps. The role focuses on high‑value customer service, driving on‑time delivery, and proactive account management. The representative will gather input from all business levels to create and implement processes, procedures, and training aligned with SEC recommendations.

Location:

Greater Chicago area only. The first month of the role will be spent in the office for training.

• Obtain and process orders within the assigned customer base, working with internal departments to provide accurate delivery dates, including management of customer EDI or specific online order management portals.
• Ensure the order‑to‑delivery process meets promised dates, on‑time delivery metrics are achieved, and monthly targets are met; may assist in collection of customer receivables and submit requests for credit or return.
• Maintain accurate customer price lists, terms, and manage forecasting to minimize inventory position while meeting revenue targets.
• Work in cross‑functional teams to meet customer requirements, provide proactive communication, and deliver high‑level reporting and data analysis for customers, Outside Sales, internal departments, and management.
• Resolve customer problems, issues, and complaints.
• Collect, manage, and evaluate data for improvement initiatives.
• Conduct monthly audits and assist in developing procedures and corrective actions to improve customer processes.
• Cultivate and support vendor relationships related to aftermarket projects and initiatives; identify vendors, establish standards and SLAs, and monitor performance focusing on timely delivery, quality, and cost control.
• Achieve sales and customer service goals and targets.
• Adhere to all safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment and maintaining alert behavior while navigating the plant.
• All other duties as assigned by management.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred; may substitute with direct applicable work experience on a year‑for‑year basis that builds competencies and subject matter expertise in Sales or Customer Service.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, proficient with Microsoft Excel.

• V Look‑up and Pivot Table reporting functions in MS Excel.
• Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem‑solving and follow‑up skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
