We are seeking a Data Exchange Specialist to join our team and support the integration and execution of data exchange processes within the freight forwarding, transportation, and supply chain logistics sectors. The ideal candidate will bring both technical expertise and industry knowledge, ensuring seamless communication between systems, partners, and clients across global operations.
Responsibilities and Expectations- Manage and maintain data exchange processes, including EDI, API, XML, and SFTP communications.
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot system integrations to ensure accuracy and efficiency in data flow.
- Execute onboarding of new trading partners and support client system connections.
- Work with integration platforms to design, implement, and support automated workflows.
- Ensure reusability and optimization of integration processes to minimize operational costs.
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to maintain compliance with data security and industry standards.
- Translate logistics and freight forwarding operational requirements into technical specifications.
- Support shipment visibility, customs compliance, and supply chain event data exchange.
- Provide subject matter expertise in logistics data formats (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT, IATA, FMC/CBP standards).
- Coordinate with overseas offices, clients, and carriers for system testing and go-live activities.
- Bachelor's Degree in information systems, computer science, logistics or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in data exchange, system integration, or IT support roles.
- Hands‑on experience with integration tools;
Boomi experience highly desirable. - Prior exposure to freight forwarding, transportation, or supply chain logistics is required.
- Strong knowledge of EDI, API, XML, flat files, and secure data transfer protocols (SFTP, AS2).
- Familiarity with logistics data standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to troubleshoot system‑to‑system communication issues.
- Strong problem‑solving, documentation, and cross‑cultural communication skills.
- Experience supporting digital transformation projects in logistics.
- Knowledge of cloud‑based logistics platforms or SaaS applications.
- Ability to balance technical execution with operational needs.
$65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
