Base pay range$95,000.00/yr - $/yr
We are currently seeking an experienced Payroll Manager who will oversee payroll operations across our multiple brands. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees within our portfolio. This role requires a deep understanding of state‑specific payroll laws and regulations, as well as the complexities associated with multi‑brand operations. The ideal candidate will also possess HR experience, enhancing our payroll processes and contributing to overall employee satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Manage end‑to‑end payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Stay updated on payroll‑related regulations and ensure the company adheres to all applicable laws, including state‑specific requirements.
- Prepare and analyze payroll reports, providing insights to senior management regarding labor costs and trends.
- Work closely with HR and finance teams to ensure seamless integration of payroll with employee records and benefits administration.
- Assist with internal and external audits related to payroll, ensuring all documentation is accurate and readily available.
- Provide training to staff on payroll procedures and compliance issues, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries in a timely manner.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- Minimum of six (6) years of experience in payroll management, preferably in a multi‑brand or corporate environment with emphasis on tax compliance and tax accounts.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is required.
- Proficiency in payroll software and systems (specifically Dayforce or Paycom) and advanced Excel skills required.
- Strong understanding of state‑specific payroll laws and complexities, as well as federal regulations.
- Prior experience in human resources is a plus, providing a holistic understanding of employee relations and benefits.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with various stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of payroll processing and reporting.
