Xus to support them in their search for an operations leader. The team today is 20+ and contains supply chain, scheduling, and specialized operations personnel. They expect to add at least 10 more people in the next quarter. The emphasis for the search is to find a dynamic leader who can develop people, improve systems and processes, while successfully meeting deadlines and profitability targets.
Of Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Operations Leader to oversee all aspects of production planning, supply chain, and manufacturing. This role is responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products, driving operational excellence, and supporting the company’s growth objectives. The ideal candidate will foster a culture of continuous improvement, employee engagement, and customer satisfaction—while building the operational capacity needed to achieve targets in revenue, quality, delivery, and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and optimize operational structures, processes, and procedures to support business growth.
- Lead and implement standards for cost control, waste reduction, safety, quality, and on-time delivery.
- Oversee all aspects of Lean Manufacturing, including material utilization, shipping/receiving, capacity planning, production scheduling, safety, and performance metrics.
- Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing operations management team to exceed business goals.
- Direct Supply Chain operations to align with production and business needs, ensuring optimal material flow, cost efficiency, and delivery performance.
- Lead the Production Planning team to maximize throughput and operational efficiency through effective scheduling and space utilization.
- Partner with Sales to provide accurate project cost estimates and support pre-sales activities.
- Promote cross-functional collaboration among Sales, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams.
- Manage quality operations to maintain compliance with QMS and ISO 9001 standards.
- Serve as a Safety Champion, ensuring a culture of safety across all operations.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Plant Management or Operations Leadership within a similar manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience managing P&L and leading large, complex operational teams.
- Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and bills of material (BOMs).
- Knowledge of construction materials, metal fabrications, and electrical/power components.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to quality and service excellence.
- High integrity and strong personal values.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, ERP/MRP systems, Salesforce, and Business Central.
- Experience with Pro Core and Drive Works preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management or a related field; MBA strongly preferred.
