Job SummaryResponsible for operating Fastener Manufacturing equipment to produce products according to quality specifications efficiently and safely. Works in a high-volume manufacturing environment producing fasteners such as structural wood fasteners and concrete anchoring systems.
Core Responsibilities- Perform quality checks in adherence to specification sheets, documenting results.
- Follow documented quality procedures and SOPs.
- Drive safety practices, including identifying hazards and maintaining housekeeping.
- Perform 6S activities and continuous improvements.
- Collaborate with team members in events and meetings.
- Maintain general housekeeping duties.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least one year of experience in high‑volume manufacturing (equipment setup/operation/changeover, use of measurement tools, preventive maintenance).
- Willingness to work the assigned shift with occasional overtime, including weekends.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and basic machinery understanding.
- Experience with hand tools (e.g., wrenches).
- Ability to recognize and identify parts and problems, offering resolutions.
- Ability to read blueprints or specification sheets and follow instructions (or willingness to learn).
- Team‑oriented mindset.
- Reliable transportation (travel between Roselle and Itasca facilities may be required).
- Successful completion of on‑the‑job training (blueprint reading and measurement tools).
- Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
Employee will be exposed to heat, dust, environmental temperature variations, and moving mechanical equipment typical of a production facility. The noise level is moderate. Proper personal protective equipment is required.
Physical DemandsThe role requires occasional lifting or moving of up to 50 pounds, walking, standing, and using hands and arms. Visual acuity for close, distance, peripheral, and depth vision is essential. Ability to raise, reach, talk, and hear workplace safety signals is required.
CompensationHourly base salary: $18.50. Benefits include paid vacation, sick leave, holiday leave, and parental leave. Additional benefits can be viewed on the company Benefits page.
