Position Summary
As our Screen‑Printing Technician, you will be responsible for operating, setting up, and troubleshooting screen‑printing equipment to produce high‑quality prints on apparel and other substrates. You’ll work closely with production staff to ensure jobs run smoothly, meet specifications, and are completed on time.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Prepare and set up screen printing jobs: coat screens, expose/stencil, register images, mix inks and match colors.
- Operate manual or automatic screen‑printing machines, adjust settings to ensure proper registration, ink coverage, drying/curing.
- Monitor print quality throughout the run; detect and correct issues like misregistration, ink viscosity problems, smudging or bleeding.
- Clean, reclaim and maintain screens and printing fixtures; perform regular preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Maintain accurate production logs, including job counts, downtime, materials used, and any quality issues.
- Handle materials: loading garments/substrates, stacking finished prints, coordinating with finishing/packing team.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Follow all safety protocols, including handling of inks and cleaning chemicals.
- Work with Production Manager to meet schedule goals and help suggest process improvements to increase efficiency or reduce waste.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in screen printing or similar process preferred; familiarity with screen‑printing machines, inks, stencils, and mesh is a plus.
- Mechanical aptitude — ability to set up machinery, make adjustments, troubleshoot operational issues.
- Strong attention to detail, good color perception/color matching skills.
- Able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs., work in a production environment with moderate noise and exposure to cleaning chemicals.
- Good communication skills, ability to work as part of a team and meet production deadlines.
- Willingness to work standard first shift; overtime may be required during busy periods.
- Excellent hand‑eye coordination.
- Good organizational skills.

- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Ability to work with ink and chemicals every day.
- Ability to manually operate large machinery.
