Quality Control / Manager, Quality Technician/ Inspector
The quality inspector is responsible for performing inspections of components and finished products to defined specifications, conducting required tests, and accurately recording inspection results to ensure conformity with quality standards and customer requirements.
Responsibilities- Inspect materials, parts, and products at various stages of production to verify conformance to specifications
- Document inspection and test results
- Create, communicate, and file product/part deficiency reports
- Perform inspections in support of production schedule priorities
- Maintenance and calibration of inspection tools
- Support continuous improvement of quality and inspection processes
- Promote quality improvement within the manufacturing area using Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, ISO 9001, and other recognized continual improvement principles
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions
- Working knowledge of inspection methods, measurement techniques, and continual improvement principles (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, ISO 9001)
- Proficiency in the use of inspection and measuring tools (Calipers, Verniers, Micrometers, Bore Gauges, Hardness Tester, Tape Measure, Level, Square, others)
- Ability to accurately complete inspection records and maintain required documentation
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify, document, and report nonconforming conditions
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to support collaboration with internal customers and external customers or suppliers
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize inspection activities to support production requirements
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based manufacturing environment
- Experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes (certification preferred)
- Demonstrated commitment to quality and performing work right the first time
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or an associate degree preferred
- At least 2 years of dimensional inspection experience in a manufacturing, production, or quality inspection environment (or other equivalent experience)
- The working environment is fast paced. This position may require long periods of standing with frequent walking, bending, crouching, kneeling and reaching. In the manufacturing area, you may be exposed to vibration, loud noise levels, moving parts, artificial lighting, as well as manufacturing debris
- While performing the duties of this job in the manufacturing area, you will be required to wear the appropriate PPE equipment:
Safety Glasses and Steel Toed Shoes. Additional PPE equipment may be required for specific jobs
Starting at $22/Hour, may be adjusted based on experience
