Large Format Operator (Direct Hire)

Wood Dale, IL Area Pay Rate: $24.00 - $29.00 / hour (Commensurate with experience) Shift Options: 1st or 2nd Shift Available

• Print Production:
  Operate and monitor wide-format and digital print production equipment.
• Pre-Press & File Processing:
  Handle pre-press duties, file scaling, color calibration, and RIP processing.
• Finishing Operations:
  Perform post-print finishing, including trimming, laminating, mounting, grommeting, and sewing.
• Substrate Handling:
  Work with a diverse range of materials such as vinyl, fabric, mesh, PVC, foam board, and styrene.
• Quality & Troubleshooting:
  Troubleshoot equipment issues proactively, maintain strict quality control, and manage tight production deadlines.
• Material Handling:
  Safely lift and maneuver heavy materials weighing between 50 to 100 lbs.

• Experience:
  
  1-3+ years of hands-on wide-format or digital print production experience.
• Equipment Proficiency:
  Direct operational experience with HP, Mimaki, Canon, or Vutek printers (experience with hybrid equipment is a major plus).
• Software Knowledge:
  Familiarity with Onyx or Caldera RIP software.
• Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Strong foundation in pre-press scaling, color calibration, and file preparation.
• Physical Capability:
  Comfortable lifting and handling materials up to 100 lbs.
• Soft Skills:
  
  Exceptional attention to detail, strong troubleshooting abilities, and proven deadline management skills.
