Parts Cleaner​/Metal Finishing

Position Title:

Parts Cleaner / Metal Finishing Wage: $18.00/hour

QPS Employment Group is hiring a Parts Cleaner / Metal Finishing role in Itasca, IL. This hands-on position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced industrial environment, are comfortable with physically demanding work, and enjoy working with their hands. If you're dependable, detail-oriented, capable of lifting up to 50 lbs., working in tight spaces, and willing to put in long hours when needed, this is an opportunity to build valuable skills and grow within the company.

• Clean, prepare, and restore parts and components according to company quality standards
• Operate various hand and power tools, including pneumatic sanders, electric grinders, polishing and buffing equipment and other finishing and cleaning tools as required
• Remove rust, debris, paint, grease, and other contaminants from parts and surfaces
• Inspect parts for defects and ensure components meet specifications before moving to the next stage of production
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety procedures and company policies
• Assist with moving, loading, and positioning parts and materials throughout the facility

• Ability to frequently lift, carry, push and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in confined and tight spaces while performing cleaning, grinding, sanding, and polishing tasks
• Capability to stand, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods
• Comfortable working in an industrial environment with exposure to dust, noise, and vibration from power tools
• Ability to work long hours, including overtime as needed to meet production demands
• Previous experience in manufacturing, industrial cleaning, metal finishing, or a related field preferred
• Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
