Job Overview
The domestic Business Development Executive will play a key role in driving new business growth within the U.S. market. This individual will focus on developing relationships, identifying opportunities, and delivering customized logistics solutions across a range of domestic transportation modes, including expedited LTL, FTL, white glove, trade show, and retail freight.

- Develop and close profitable new business within the domestic transportation market.
- Grow additional business with existing clients and identify cross-selling opportunities within Phoenix's client base.
- Develop strategic relationships with clients and maintain them over a sustained period of time.
- Partner with internal operations and pricing teams to deliver tailored, competitive solutions.
- Coordinate the complete sales cycle process including lead generation, prospect list initiation, prospect qualification, solution design, proposal preparation, and preparation for onboarding.
- Maintain a sales pipeline in line with company growth targets.
- Sales and account management within the freight forwarding/logistics industry (5+ years).
- Domestic freight experience (first mile, final mile, middle mile, FTL, LTL, white glove, expedited, tradeshow, and retail freight.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and grow client relationships and close new business.
- Passion for clients and a drive to succeed.
- Strong hunter mentality with a track record of achieving and exceeding targets.
- Proven closer.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Highly organized, analytical, and detail oriented.
- Collaborative approach with the ability to work cross-functionally across departments.
- Enthusiastic, persistent, and confident approach
- Computer systems:
Microsoft Office 365 products. - Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. - Ability and willingness to travel (25-50%).
- Possess a valid driver's license and current vehicle insurance.
- Existing book of business that could transition over time.
- Ability to cross sell other products/services.
