OverviewThe Air Import Gateway Operations Agent, II is to process routine to moderately complex import transactions, including all related activities in breakbulk operations in imports. Additionally, responsible to document preparation and traffic coordination of Import goods. Perform all duties correctly, cost‑efficiently, within Company standards, and under the direct supervision of the department manager.
Responsibilities- Receive, review, and process import documentation from AIT and agent offices worldwide. Communicate with worldwide offices/agents regarding proper documentation for imports.
- Process arrival notices for incoming shipments.
- Track and review shipping status to ensure timely departure/arrival/delivery of freight; enter milestone data.
- Timely notification and document distribution to AIT CHB and customer customs brokers.
- Accurate and timely consolidation cost entry into Cargo Wise.
- Maintain and update database of key contacts for all carrier and CFS parties.
- Work and communicate with customs brokers and logistics providers to resolve any potential issues/delays.
- Process delivery of cargo, updating Cargo Wise and collection of receivables within defined Company time frames.
- Coordinate the release of goods from the carrier, Customs, or other government agency examinations that may be required.
- Communicate with agents, coworkers, and supervisors in a clear, concise, and timely manner.
- Adhere to all domestic and international shipping regulations.
- Advise department manager of any transaction problems or irregularities.

- Bachelor's degree required.
- 3‑5 years of freight forwarding experience.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with Cargo Wise Enterprise system a plus!
- Detail orientation and strong ability to multi‑task while maintaining superior quality results.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi‑task under pressure in a fast and high‑volume work environment.
- Excellent time‑management skills, establishing priorities and meeting goals/deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Solid team player! A high level of energy and a "can‑do" positive attitude!
