OverviewThe Brokerage Operations Representative II will be responsible for booking, tracking, routing, problem resolution, vendor compliance, and relationship building between both the customer and carrier portfolios.
Responsibilities- Prospect qualified carriers by conducting daily sourcing calls to secure consistent truck capacity, ensuring compliance with AIT TS guidelines.
- Establish, maintain and grow customer and carrier relationships within assigned portfolio.
- Book contract expedite and ad-hoc freight as required by customers.
- Respond to customer quotations in a timely manner (within 5 minutes).
- Proactively track and trace all booked shipments on a daily basis.
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues including communication on carrier delays, breakdowns, and other order exceptions.
- Communicate accessorial charges to customers promptly to secure approval and maximize revenue per load.
- Handle overages, shortages, accessorial and freight claims properly.
- Own corrective actions and identify overall process improvement opportunities.
- Ensure all metrics meet or exceed customer SLA’s.
- Book remaining modes or transportation (including FTL, Partial, Flatbed) as needed.
- Schedule appointments for pickups and deliveries.
- Help prepare and actively participate in customer reviews (QBRs, MBRs).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and standards.
Wage range: $24.20 – $34.10 (may vary based on geography and experience).
Qualifications- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent (Required). Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred).
- Experience: 3+ years in logistics/transportation (Required).
- Skills and Abilities: Microsoft Office Suite (Medium);
Transportation Management System (TMS) (Medium);
Ability to problem-solve and make independent decisions with minimal oversight (Medium).
In addition to base compensation, you may be eligible for a bonus based on performance metrics.
