• Duration: 6 weeks
• Shift: Night – 3x12 hour shifts per week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: 2-3 nights per weekend coverage
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1930–$2080 per week

Registered Respiratory Therapist Qualifications

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential – required
• Valid New York State Respiratory Therapy license – required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications – required
• NRP certification – preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a hospital or clinical setting
• Strong critical care and clinical decision-making skills
• Familiarity with hospital protocols and respiratory therapy procedures

Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive respiratory care for neonates, pediatric, and adult patients
• Deliver high-quality patient care in both critical and non-critical situations
• Operate and manage high flow oxygen, mechanical ventilation, and non-invasive ventilation equipment
• Perform arterial blood gas punctures and accurately interpret results
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain compliance with hospital protocols, safety standards, and infection control guidelines
• No on-call or floating required
