• Location: Ithaca, NY 14850 (New York nursing jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (September 9, 2024 – December 9, 2024)
• Healthcare Setting: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (start times between 7am and 11am)
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• On-Call: 12 hours per week (as needed by department)
• Weekend Requirements: As needed, per department needs
• Employment Type: Travel RN, W2 contract
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,930–$2,070 per week

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State or compact eligible
• Minimum 1 year of recent PACU or acute care nursing experience
• BLS certification (AHA required)
• ACLS certification (preferred for PACU nursing jobs)
• Strong assessment, clinical, and communication skills
• Ability to work flexible shifts and participate in on-call rotation

• Deliver high-quality post-anesthesia care to surgical patients in a clinical setting
• Monitor patient recovery, vital signs, and manage pain control
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation and ensure patient safety
• Respond promptly to emergencies and changes in patient condition
