- Location: Ithaca, NY 14850 (New York nursing jobs)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (February 17, 2025 – May 19, 2025)
- Healthcare Setting: Cardiac Services – Stepdown Unit
- Shift: Variable 10-hour shifts, 4 shifts per week
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Schedule: Every other holiday and every other weekend required
- Employment Type: Travel nursing assignment
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,330 – $2,500
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State or compact state
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Cardiac Stepdown, Telemetry, or acute care nursing setting
- Experience with EPIC EMR required
- Current BLS certification (AHA)
- Strong clinical assessment, cardiac monitoring, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Deliver direct patient care to adults recovering from cardiac procedures and acute cardiac conditions
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, administer cardiac medications, and perform comprehensive nursing assessments
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on cardiac health, recovery, and discharge planning
- Accurately document patient care and interventions using EPIC EMR
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
