• Start Date: September 9, 2024
• End Date: December 9, 2024
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift: Day shifts, 10 hours each
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2330 - $2500

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State or compact state
• At least 1 year of recent experience in cardiac stepdown, progressive care, or acute care nursing
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association preferred)
• Strong clinical assessment, cardiac monitoring, and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient education abilities

• Deliver direct patient care in the cardiac stepdown unit, monitoring cardiac status and responding to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, manage cardiac drips, and perform continuous cardiac monitoring
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families about cardiac conditions, procedures, and recovery processes
• Accurately document patient care and interventions in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
