Are you passionate about helping young people overcome complex challenges and re-engage with their education? Do you have the resilience and desire to make a lasting, positive impact?
We are a highly supportive alternative provision academy committed to providing a personalised learning environment for students who are unable to attend mainstream education. Due to an exciting influx of new students, we are looking for dedicated individuals to join our team as a Learning Mentor.
The OpportunityAs a Learning Mentor, you will be key in helping students aged 5 to 16 unlock their potential. You will work one-on-one with students, providing the intensive, personalised support they need to succeed both academically and emotionally.
Your Role Will Include:
Personalised Support: Working individually with students to address and overcome both behavioural and academic challenges.
Skill Development: Planning and running engaging activities, including weekly trips, to help students develop crucial coping strategies and life skills.
Academic & Pastoral Care: Offering essential academic assistance and support for students' emotional well-being.
Family Partnership: Collaborating with families to create a stable home environment that effectively supports the student's learning and behaviour.
We need individuals who are resilient, empathetic, and committed to transforming lives. You should have:
Previous experience working with young people, especially those with challenging behaviours.
GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent experience).
An understanding of school safeguarding and digital literacy.
A full driving licence is preferred due to the nature of the role.
