Year 5 Teaching Assistant

SEND Teaching Assistant – Primary School, long term temporary and ongoing, starting September 2026

• Providing one-to-one and small-group support
• Assisting pupils with SEND to access the curriculum
• Supporting social, emotional, and academic development
• Implementing learning strategies and interventions
• Promoting independence, engagement, and positive behaviour
• Working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals

• Previous experience supporting children with SEND
• Knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and additional learning needs is desirable
• Patient, caring, and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Your salary - dependent on experience - is paid weekly through PAYE.
