Plant Vehicle Team CVS Engineer

Job Description

• Analyze Warranty issues and drive the issues to the resolution by using the problem-solving methods
• Coordinate resolution of supplier quality and plant quality/manufacturing issues by liaising with relevant teams
• Identify best design solution for design quality issues by liaising with Core Engineering teams
• Support VRT (Variability Reduction Team) meetings & weekly VFG (Vehicle Function Group) meetings to define and execute required Quality Improvement Studies
• Drive engineering concerns through change management process
• Use 6 Sigma tools, 3L5W, A3 and G8D processes for resolution of complex problems
• Production vehicles Bill of Material record corrections and Service parts record corrections
• Assessment of Alert and SREA requests
• Perform Functional Builds and sign off the validation plan for Running Changes
• Ensure and facilitate appropriate communications links with internal / external units / areas.
• Be familiar with and operate according to the Ford Quality System, including all procedures, reference sources, local procedures, local working practices and best practice engineering and quality tools / processes.

• Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering degree
• At least 2 years experience in engineering roles, Experience in automotive sector is a plus.
• Self-motivated to adopt & sustain Dynamic Balance Culture in our daily work
• Knowledge on engineering & quality systems and tools.
• Competent in communication and presentation skills (oral and written)
• Good at Team Work & Good problem solving skills
• Good communications skills in English
• Able to operate across different nationalities/cultures/time zones; good planning skills
• Experience and ability to lead a group through issues and managing projects
• Preferably knowledge & experience of major Ford processes from different business units of company (PD, Manufacturing, Purchasing, STA, MP&L)
