What awaits you in this role? & What are we looking for in this position?Position for a Component Purchasing Specialist who will take part in only the sub-assy parts/components purchasing agreement for all vehicles produced in Ford Otosan factories.
- Drive the end-to-end management of third‑party agreements to be signed with suppliers and actively manage the bailment processes.
- Manage supplier relations on behalf of Ford Otosan, represent the company in supplier interactions, and take an active role in the business development activities of assigned suppliers.
- Develop business strategies for the assigned product/component group, collaborate with relevant internal commodity buyer, and conduct joint evaluations.
- Do market research for parts, moulds and fixtures to be ordered.
- Manage the order and price update process of the parts and products supplied to our factories.
- Perform monthly tracking of the parameters that influence price changes and calculate the corresponding price tags.
- Perform cost analyses in collaboration with suppliers and support cost control activities.
- Lead cost‑reduction initiatives by generating improvement ideas, supporting product‑group proposals, managing supplier proposals, and driving implementation in alignment with company targets.
- Collaborate with counterpart/cross commodity purchasing specialists to develop aligned business plans and ensure seamless communication.
- Take part in capacity planning activities related to suppliers that are responsible
- Visit the suppliers when necessary
- BSc Degree in Engineering
- Experienced in Purchasing for 3-5 years in the Automotive Industry, preferrable Electrical Distrubution System commodity, knowledge of sub-assy part & component parts
- Excellent analytical skills with a good problem-solving attitude and result oriented
- Ability to conduct data analysis and prepare comprehensive reports
- High oral and written communication, good at human relations
- Excellent negotiation and strong persuasion skills, team oriented
- Advanced level in MS Office programs
- Advanced level of English (C1)
- Good at time and business management
- Innovative, dynamic and energetic approach
- Able to travel both domestic and international
- Have a driving licence (B Segment)
