• Carry out and/or support engineering design evaluations and development activities across EDAG vehicle programs, depending on experience level,
• Utilize engineering and product development tools to contribute to developing optimal technical solutions,
• Perform CAD design and development of vehicle components in line with functional, cost, quality, and manufacturing requirements,
• Learn, apply, and maintain customer-specific CAD data integrity requirements as required by the role,
• Collaborate with system and component suppliers, supporting or coordinating communication and development progress according to experience level,
• Work in cross-functional teams to support vehicle configuration activities, cost optimization, customer-driven requirements, and continuous product/process improvements,
• Prepare and/or support the preparation of technical documentation (DV Planning, material lists, 2D drawings, installation manuals, FMEA, etc.) in accordance with EDAG and customer standards,
• Support and/or lead launch activities at customer plants, including issue tracking and resolution,
• Participate in design reviews and ensure assigned tasks are completed within agreed timelines
• Support Project Management with technical inputs, analyses, and presentations of concepts, issues, and proposed solutions.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field,
• 8+ years of experience in the automotive industry (OEM, Tier 1, or Engineering Service Provider environments),
• Proven experience in the design and development of Interior Trim systems, including:
  Instrument Panel (Dashboard), Center Console, Hard Trim components (Door Trims, Greenhouse Trim, Pillar Trims, etc.), Soft Trim components, Seating Systems,
• Solid understanding of vehicle architectures and development processes, including BOM management, 3DX PLM, and cross-functional engineering collaboration,
• Strong knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM), GD&T, dimensional management, and tolerance analysis,
• Advanced proficiency in CAD design tools, preferably CATIA V5 and/or Siemens NX,
• In-depth understanding of automotive manufacturing technologies and design feasibility considerations, including:
  Injection Molding, Thermoforming, Vacuum Forming, Steam-Chest Molding, Open-Pour Molding, Lamination Processes
• Fluent in English;
  German language skills are considered a strong asset,
• Ability to apply manufacturing knowledge to achieve high-quality craftsmanship, performance, cost, and timing targets,
• Experience working within the full product development cycle, from concept development through serial production,
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills,
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary and international teams,
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of working in a fast-paced and dynamic project environment.
