Responsibilities- Provide leadership to a customer-centric team of associates and accelerate seasonal tax business by managing a single H&R Block tax office.
- Serve as the front-line manager to develop tax office associates, deliver an outstanding client experience, and achieve office growth objectives.
- Act as a knowledgeable resource on tax topics and products for associates.
- Lead daily team meetings, develop associate schedules, ensure accurate timekeeping, and manage workloads to meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Train and coach associates to meet Service Standards and recognize outstanding contributions.
- Recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions in collaboration with the District General Manager, and assist with local partnerships and community involvement.
- Handle on-site escalated client service concerns and resolve scheduling conflicts to ensure smooth operations.
- Prepare tax returns, as required, and support ongoing tax knowledge development.
- Prior experience in a customer service, shift lead, or similar role; experience supervising or managing people.
- Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course* (if preparing tax returns).
- Annual continuing education and ability to meet IRS and state requirements.
- Computer proficiency with MS Office; ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong customer-centric mindset, with adaptability to flexible schedules and business needs.
- High school diploma or greater.
