Gastroenterology Physician

Gastroenterologist - Jackson, MI


Job Type: Full-Time

Shifts: Varied schedule + 1:6 call (including weekends)

Healthcare Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient Clinic

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive GI care, including inpatient consults, outpatient clinic, rounds, and procedures
• Perform endoscopy and ERCP (proctoring available if needed)
• Work collaboratively with in-house APP support and subspecialty teams
• Engage in teaching opportunities through the local GME program (optional)
• Participate in hospital coverage and rotational call schedule (1:6)

Qualifications:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology (must become BC within 1 year)
• Fellowship-trained in Gastroenterology
• ERCP certification or willingness to receive proctoring
• Active or eligible Michigan medical license
• Clean malpractice and license history
• COVID and flu vaccination are required
• 5-8 years of GI work experience preferred
• ITIL or PMP certification preferred
• Open to H1B candidates (J1 not accepted)
• Must be able to commute within 1 hour or relocate (no long-distance commuters or dual-job arrangements)
