Teach courses in Alternative Energy based on instructor's qualifications.

Adjunct instructor positions are part-time. Teaching assignments will vary from semester to semester and are based on enrollment. There may be semesters where no assignments are available.

• Evaluate and grade students' class work, assignments and papers.
• Prepare and deliver instructional materials (syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts) in person and/or online.
• Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions.
• Compile, administer, and grade examinations.
• Participate in required reporting processes (grades, participation, etc.).
• Assist students in connecting to college resources.

• Bachelor degree or higher in Alternative Energy; or
• BS in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Architecture; or
• AAS in Electrical, Environmental Science, HVAC, or Sustainability with 3 years relevant industry experience (documentation of experience required); or
• Bachelor degree in Engineering; or
• AAS in Electrical or Alternative Energy with 5 years relevant industry experience (documentation of experience required); or
• Master Electrician; or
• AAS in HVAC; or
• Industry certification in HVAC with 5 years relevant experience (documentation of experience required).

Adjunct instructors are not employed directly by Jackson College except those receiving a pension from the Michigan Public School Employees Retirement System.
