Electrical Engineer - Substation/Utilities

Base pay: $38.00/hr - $40.00/hr

• Strong analytical skills.
• Clear oral and written communication and customer relations skills.
• Proficiency with MS Access, MS Excel, and MS Word.
• Experience with programmable/configurable devices such as RTUs, regulators, and recloser controls.
• Experience with the IEC-61131 programming suite.
• Experience with the DNP-3.0 protocol (serial and IP).
• Programming in  or another high‑level language.

• Engineer and integrate hardware and software for programmable/configurable devices, substation network devices, and legacy electrical devices.
• Support detailed design of projects reflected in CAD design drawings produced by others in the I;
  
  C Division.
• Operate hands‑on in a lab environment—system prototyping, test setups, and device connection/integration.
• Work with devices such as programmable automation controllers, communications devices, network devices, RTUs, protective and control relays, meters, transformer monitors/controllers, transducers, and generic controls for intelligent electrical devices (IEDs).
• Maintain a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and excellent self‑motivation.
• Show a dedicated interest in integration, connectivity design, networking, programming, and configuration of intelligent electrical devices.
• Work successfully in a diverse team environment with employees of varying technical skills and grade levels.
