Gas SCADA Technician

Duration: 8+ months contract.

Location: Jackson, MI (Hybrid).

The Gas SCADA Technician provides technical and operational support to Gas SCADA Engineers, who maintain and support SCADA systems used to monitor and control gas operations.

Key duties include ensuring system reliability, data integrity, and timely technical support, while strictly adhering to PHMSA and MPSC standards.

• First‑Level Technical Support – Provide initial troubleshooting and resolution for SCADA‑related issues, escalating as needed.
• On‑Call Support – Participate in a weekly rotation (≈1 week per month) to provide after‑hours SCADA support.
• PI Historian – Create and maintain outputs, configuration updates, and data validation for the PI Historian system sourced from Monarch SCADA.
• Database Maintenance – Perform maintenance on SCADA and modem databases to support project work.
• Documentation – Maintain accurate records, write SOPs, job aids, and best‑practice white papers.
• Project Collaboration – Work with the SCADA Engineering Team on system enhancements, complex troubleshooting, and technical projects.
• Communication – Convey technical information clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Tools – Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Power Platform – Experience with Power BI, Power Automate, or Power Apps.
• SCADA – Familiarity with SCADA systems, preferably Monarch.
• CAD – Ability to work with CAD tools for drawings and schematics.
• IT Support – Background in troubleshooting hardware/software, networking basics, and system connectivity.

Mid‑Senior level contractor experience with SCADA systems, CAD, Power Platform, and IT support. Must be able to work independently and collaborate with engineering teams.

$49,240.00 – $73,860.00 annually.
