Job Description Requirement/Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering (Mechanical, Metallurgical, Electrical, or related).
- Minimum 3 years of production preparation and/or manufacturing experience.
- At least 1 year of major model change experience impacting part quality and manufacturability.
- At least 1 year of experience leading project teams with responsibility for milestones and coordination.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to apply structured business practices.
- Production preparation or manufacturing engineering experience.
- Project leadership experience managing working groups.
- Exposure to equipment, tooling, or fixture changes.
- Manage manufacturing projects supporting existing vehicle powertrain and BEV development programs.
- Plan and execute pre-production preparation activities, including budget development and equipment procurement.
- Oversee equipment installation, casting trials, and activities leading to start of production.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans spanning 12–24 months.
- Study established manufacturing processes and develop localized operational documentation.
- Support additional processes including goal alignment and process structure development.
- Build and maintain a project problem list and track resolution progress.
- Apply structured problem-solving methodologies to resolve daily project issues.
- Lead project teams during pre-production phases, including scheduling meetings and coordinating contractors.
- Review technical materials and drive consensus among cross-functional stakeholders.
- Casting or metals-related manufacturing engineering experience.
- High-pressure die casting experience.
- Experience with Client machining environments.
- Exposure to industrial robotics and PLC systems.
- 2D/3D CAD systems for equipment layout and part/die modeling.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Creo, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of industrial PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Strong documentation, presentation, and capital project justification skills.
- Ability to lead large-scale capital projects and manage complex timelines.
