Our Client, an Energy company, is looking for a Project Scheduler for their Jackson, MI/ Bay City, MI/ Hybrid location.
Responsibilities- The Project Scheduler III will be responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining Outage schedule(s).
- In this role you will also be asked to analyze schedule progress, ensuring alignment with outage objectives, and forecasting outage timelines.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of scheduling tools, mainly Primavera (P6), project controls methodologies and the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Mandatory
Skills:
Must understand how to operate in a P6 environment including knowledge in layouts, activity codes, resources, group & sort and reporting. - Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Must be able to interact and communicate effectively with project team members and stakeholders in order to receive and produce schedule information.
- Must be able to participate fully in all outage and department meetings and discussions effectively.
- Generation plant knowledge of how a plant operates would be beneficial.
- Prior work experience in plant outages is a plus.
- Knowledge of Schedule Quality practices in regards to P6 schedules would be beneficial but not required.
- Proficient in Power BI and the creation and use of new Power BI reports would be beneficial.
- PMP or other PMI certification would be beneficial but not required.
- PSP or CST or other AACEI certification would be beneficial but not required.
- Project Scheduler needs at least a High School Education but candidates with Associate's Degree's, Bachelor's degree's or Master's Degree's will be factored into the selection.
