Overview
Founded in 1988, Accu Bilt is an experienced turn-key systems builder and integrator specializing in both flexible and dedicated automation. Our highly skilled team designs and manufactures advanced automation solutions including GMAW robotic welding cells, resistance welding cells, complex material handling systems, automated assembly cells, and custom testing systems.
Responsibilities- Robot Program Development: Proven ability to independently troubleshoot complex automation systems.
- System Integration: Integrate robots, power sources, and peripheral equipment into Accu Bilt systems, ensuring proper operation and compliance with specifications.
- System Design: Develop or modify electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics, layout drawings, and engineering specifications. Install and debug control programs for machines and PLCs.
- Collaboration and Support: Provide technical support to service technicians, machine builders, and customers. Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems during build, debug, and service phases. Ensure machines meet customer requirements and safety standards.
- Customer Specifications: Create and maintain bills of material (BOMs) for electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components. Collaborate with project coordinators and the plant manager to review customer specifications and ensure solutions meet project requirements.
- Customer Site Travel: Travel to customer sites as required to perform installations, troubleshooting, repairs, and commissioning activities to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Machine Operation Improvement: Evaluate machine performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement strategies to optimize efficiency, reliability, and functionality.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong experience with industrial automation, PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Keyence, etc.), and robotic systems (FANUC, OTC/NACHI, MOTOMAN, etc.)
- Proficiency in ladder logic and microprocessor-based programming
- Experience designing electrical panels, schematics, and control systems
- Working knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Proven ability to independently troubleshoot complex automation systems
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to travel for service calls / Installs as needed
