The City of Jackson is seeking a Police Recruit in Jackson, Michigan. This is a temporary, at-will (contractual), non-union position where you will attend a certified Police Academy (in Michigan) at the City of Jackson Police Department’s expense.
Upon successful completion, you may be promoted to Police Officer as a vacancy exists. Enrollment for the 2027 Mid-Michigan Police Academy (LCC) begins January 11, 2027, with the recruitment and training path designed to transition to an officer role
