Ultrasound Technologist - Full-Time - Variable

Under the direction of a Radiologist, specializes in the performance of diagnostic ultrasound procedures to aid in the evaluation of pathological entities as prescribed by a physician. Performs related functions according to department protocols. Utilizes independent judgment in determining appropriate imaging techniques, patient positioning, and safety practices.

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
• Must be registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), or be an eligible candidate to sit for an ARDMS examination.
• The ARDMS defines "candidate" as an applicant who has met the prerequisites required to sit for an ARDMS examination.
• If eligible, successful completion of SPI, Abdomen, and OB/GYN ARDMS examinations is required within 12 months of hire date.
• Failure to obtain registry within the designated timeframe will result in termination of the Ultrasound Technologist position.
• Must maintain required hours of continued medical education.
• Healthcare Provider certification required (BCLS).
