As a Clinical Exercise Physiologist, you’ll play a vital role in evaluating and improving the health of patients through exercise interventions. You’ll support individuals with chronic diseases, helping them manage their conditions and adopt healthier lifestyles. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing patient quality of life and reducing disease progression, making a lasting difference in their health journey.

• Administer exercise stress tests and supervise clinic-based exercise training programs for patients with chronic diseases.
• Provide physical activity consultation and behavior change techniques to promote healthy lifestyles.
• Obtain medical histories, review medications, and assess symptoms and vital signs during rest and exercise.
• Interpret ECGs, measure heart rate, blood pressure, and blood glucose, and make point-of-care assessments.
• Communicate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Deliver specialized care to diverse populations, including the elderly, frail adults, children, and those with intellectual disabilities.

• Bachelor’s or graduate degree in exercise science/physiology or related field.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 1 year of hire.

• Experience in a clinical exercise setting.
• American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Clinical Exercise Physiologist (ACSM-CEP) certification.
