GENERAL

SUMMARY:
  • Greeting and escorting patients to the exam room.
  • Obtaining medical histories.
  • The measurement and recording of vital signs.
  • Preparing patients for an examination/procedure.
  • Assisting the provider during the examination/procedure.
  • From the hiring manager “MA must be able to work from 645-7p on any given day.”

Monday, Wednesday and Friday

7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Tuesday and Thursday

7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Role Overview

As a Medical Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting providers and nursing leadership to deliver exceptional patient care. Your responsibilities will include both administrative and clinical tasks, ensuring a seamless and compassionate patient experience. This role is essential in maintaining the efficiency and quality of care in our ambulatory setting.

What You Will Do
  • Greet and escort patients to exam rooms, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable experience.
  • Obtain and record accurate medical histories and vital signs.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, assisting providers as needed.
  • Perform a variety of clinical tasks to support patient care in an ambulatory setting.
  • Utilize electronic medical records (EPIC) to document patient information efficiently.
What You Will Need

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160-hour minimum), or equivalent experience as outlined in the job description.
  • Current BLS-C certification upon hire or successful completion by the end of orientation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
  • EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience.
