Workstation Support Analyst – Fast Tek Global
The role focuses on delivering technical support for workstation infrastructure, ensuring high availability, and maintaining documentation and asset lifecycle management.
General Summary ofJob Responsibilities
- Provides technical support to staff and customers on software systems by installing and configuring software and hardware products and maintaining knowledge documentation.
- Oversees device lifecycle from inception to retirement.
- Troubleshoots desktop PC problems and responds to internal and external support requests.
- Documents best practices and updates SOPs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve networking errors (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPN).
- Assist with IT Asset Management, updating and modifying asset records.
- Diagnose, repair, or replace hardware for PCs, laptops, and printers, ensuring proper maintenance.
- Follow policies and procedures for client requests and maintain ticket queue efficiency.
- Configure PCs, phones, and tablets for network access, Office products, and printers, including security configuration.
- Retrieve equipment from departures for re‑image, reassignment, and inventory update.
- Collaborate with other groups to resolve technical problems.
- Provide second‑level technical support via phone and email, contributing to help‑desk SOPs and training manuals.
- Offer walk‑in support, re‑image desktops/laptops, and deploy new equipment to end users.
- Load devices for new hires, reassignments, and refreshes for corporate and field workers.
- Maintain and track inventory at build locations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve diverse problems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SCCM, Intune, Active Directory, and computer networking.
- Organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines.
- Associate Degree in Computer Information Systems (Required)
- 2–4 years of relevant experience (Required)
