Overview
Candidate will plan and optimize flow of approved materials, components, and related materials through all phases of material planning to meet production requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Material Planner with Lean Manufacturing experience such as; material/product pull systems, line balancing techniques, and time study experience preferred. Must also have strong problem solving and kaizen abilities.
- Will plan and optimize flow of approved materials, components, and related materials through all phases of material planning to meet production requirements.
- Supports new products preparation activities in order to ensure that the start of the production is trouble free
- Supports program balance out activities in order to fulfill customer orders and avoid obsolescence both in house and at supplier
- Calculate requirements and issue component orders to our suppliers
- Receive and input the customer orders and forecasts in the system, as needed
- Contact the necessary supplier contacts
- Monitor and track all open and past due orders from suppliers
- Maintain hot kanban board
- Support all departments within TAC when required
- Monitor negative inventory
- Monitor overstocked inventory
- Daily Days on Hand monitoring
- Process Return Material Authorizations (RMAs) to suppliers
- Complete Inventory Adjustments
- Complete Obsolescence Adjustments
- Twice yearly physical inventory preparation and support
- Component cycle counts
- Prepare and maintain component tracking sheets
- Bachelor’s degree or at least four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
