Inpatient/Outpatient: 100% inpatient (clinic with occasional inpatient weekend coverage)
Case Load: 90% Adult, 10% Pediatrics
Position Overview
Henry Ford Health Jackson is seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in Endocrinology to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will desire a contingent schedule, will have a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. Previous APP experience of at least one year is required. Previous experience in ENDO, primary care, or inpatient hospital is preferred.

Schedule – Contingent Status. Monday – Friday in clinic, with occasional inpatient weekend coverage.
Weekend requirement – Occasional Weekends. Hours are typically 6:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Responsibilities- Collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment to assess, diagnose, treat, educate, consult, and coordinate care for patients and their families as a first-line provider.
- Provide inpatient and/or outpatient medical care in one of the designated departments (Cardiovascular Medicine, Emergency Medicine, ICU, Interventional Radiology, Nephrology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Oncology, Orthopedics, Otolaryngology, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, Surgery, Urgent Care, Urology).
- Perform procedures as credentialed and aligned with training and experience.
- Master’s degree in nursing or Bachelor’s degree or completion of an AMA-approved Physician Assistant program.
- NP – Certification by a recognized certification body (state of Michigan).
- PA – Certification by NCCPA.
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the State of Michigan, or in process with proof of application.
- National certification as an NP or PA (e.g., ANCC, AANP, NCCPA).
- ACLS and BLS certifications required.
- DEA/CSL as required through credentialing; note: NPs do not hold CS licenses, PAs use the MI license for CSL where applicable.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment
