Nurse Assistant - Hospice Residence - 20 Hours/Week - Night Shift role at Henry Ford Health

Under the direction and supervision of the responsible Registered Nurse (RN), performs specific patient care duties to meet safety and comfort needs of the patient.

• Provides input to assist the RN in planning and implementing patient care.
• Responds to emergent situations according to established procedures.
• Recognizes and participates in own continuing education.
• Follows the Henry Ford Health System Team Member Standards of Excellence in all interactions.

Nurse Assistant requires a CNA license with the State of Michigan.

Hospice Residence – 20 Hours per week, eligible for Part Time Benefits.

Shift: Night. Rotating weekend shift is required.

• Provides input to assist the RN in planning and implementing patient care.

• Recognizes and participates in own continuing education.
• Follows the Henry Ford Health System Team Member Standards of Excellence in all interactions.

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.

• CNA License.
• Completion of a Nurse Assistant program or similar.
• May be currently enrolled in a nursing program with Fundamentals of Nursing course completed.
• Foreign trained and licensed RN who has relocated to the U.S. and does not hold a Michigan RN license.
• Medical Assistant program with or without experience.
• At least one year of previous experience in an NA, PCT, PAT, or similar role.

• Complete BLS Heart Saver Certification during orientation.
