Registered Nurse RN Cardiovascular PCU Mixed Acuity 5T FT Midnight Jackson

Henry Ford Jackson Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiovascular PCU Mixed Acuity unit. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of RN inpatient experience and be eligible for a Sign-on Bonus.

The role involves providing leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care. This includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, as well as communicating effectively with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities include:

• Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
• Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.
• Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team.
• Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

Qualifications include:

• BSN preferred.
• Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program within 3 years of hire.
• Completion of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within 5 years of hire.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Minimum 1 year hospital inpatient RN experience.
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, titrating vasoactive drips, post-surgical care, post PCI care, and chest tubes.
• Professional Certifications to support a culture of nursing excellence.
• Participation in Professional Advancement Ladder (PAL).

Certifications/Licensures required include current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
