Position Overview

Henry Ford Health Jackson is seeking an experienced part‑time Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to join our Level III NICU as a replacement position. This role is 100% inpatient and dedicated exclusively to the care of neonatal patients. The position requires an expected 20 hours per week with a variable schedule, primarily day shifts (10 hours), though shifts may vary and will include weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive inpatient neonatal care: admissions, daily rounding, delivery room attendance, discharges, transfers, resuscitation, and stabilization.
• Procedures: endotracheal intubation, lumbar puncture, umbilical line placement, initial ventilator management, X‑ray interpretation, needle aspiration of pneumothorax.
• Staff mentoring and education, supporting high‑quality, team‑based neonatal care.

Qualifications

• NPP or NNP certified by NCC in the State of Michigan.
• Minimum two years of experience in a Level III NICU with delivery room experience.
• Experienced with independent decision‑making, procedures, and collaborative practice within a multidisciplinary NICU team.

Licensure and Certification

• Nurse Practitioner with Master’s Degree in Nursing.
• Registered Nurse licensure.
• BLS certification required.
• NRP certification.
• DEA/CSL: required through credentialing.

Experience

• Minimum two years in a Level III NICU.
• Delivery Room experience.
• EPIC experience (preferred).
• NRP instructor preferred.
